LiveStream - Encoder SD
LiveStream is the professionals’ choice for high quality Broadcast and Content Contribution (Point-to-Point) Workflow, typically Live Event to Studio, Studio to Studio or delivery to a Content Distribution Network (CDN).
Designed for SD/HD live streaming the LiveStream Hardware Encoder can deliver up to two SDI input streams and store in H.264 with different bit rates and quality to 20 addresses over IP simultaneously. LiveStream encodes uncompressed HD/SD video content at data rates from 1Mbps to 20Mbps to the MPEG-4/AVC standard producing superlative image quality at the customer end.

- FEC: occasionally in Contribution workflows it is necessary to increase the security of the data transportation, Forward Error Correction (FEC) will retrieve lost information; even if some parts if the video stream are damaged.
- AFD: Active Format Description (AFD) is a standard set of codes that can be sent from the Encoder to the Set-top Box in the MPEG video stream to carry information about the aspect ratio and active picture characteristics.
